Although this is ideal many wide plank flooring products will not allow for such a wide stagger due to the amount of shorter boards.
For wide plank installation many installers will apply waterless urethane adhesive applied in a snake like pattern on the back of each wide plank as it is installed fig 5 this will bond the planks directly to the sub floor and minimize any squeaks or movement in the future as well as limit the risk of cupping or buckling.
The planks in this floor are 14 wide.
To make a transition between the pine floor in one room and a different floor material in another cut a pine threshold to fit between the entry doorjambs.

When beginning your wide pine floor installation process we highly recommend that you face your nailing in boards 8 in width or wider.
To keep the wide boards from cupping you ll face nail them with cut nails driven through the subfloor and into the joists photo 18.

When installing solid wide plank floors over a plywood subfloor the best method is to apply adhesive to the floorboards blind nail the length of the boards with a pneumatic nailer and face nail when you reach the end of a board.
Attempt to stagger end joints of boards row to row a minimum of twice the width of the flooring.
If you use all of the same size i would recommend start installing them in the middle of the room and work your way out on both sides keeping the last board on each side the same size.
