If your concrete passes the moisture test then plastic sheeting at least 6 mils thick will prevent moisture from getting into your laminate flooring. Remove any carpet or other flooring. To determine the roughness of the concrete floor we put a direct rail to the floor and a level is determined at any not very smooth place. Laminate flooring is ready to install as long as the base floor is clean and smooth.

When installing a floating laminate floor you don t need to use any adhesive nails or staples. Leave the flooring in the room for three days before installation. Next use a back saw to cut the wooden door jamb by holding it perfectly level. After removing the existing flooring baseboards and quarter moulding check that the subfloor is solid flat and clean.
